Abstract

The aim of this study was to characterized w/o microemulsion with different comparison surfactant (Span 80- Tween 80) : cosurfactant (ethanol) 5:1; 6:1 dan 7:1. Micremulsion was loaded with ovalbumin. Loaded and unloaded microemulsion were examined for organoleptics, pH, droplet size and suface tension. These microemulsions showed similarity in organoleptics (yellow colored, transparent, and high fluidity solution. Result showed that pH for loaded microemulsion higher than unloaded microemulsion. The droplet size of loaded and unloaded microemulsion not differant significantly. Surface tension of microemulsion that loaded with ovalbumin have lower value than unloaded microemulsion. The drug entrapment of these microemulsion are 0,26±0,10 %b/v for formula 5:1, 0,46±0,10 %b/v for formula 6:1 and 0,29±0,06 %b/v for formula 7:1.
