Abstract

Quercetin is a flavonoid from lor="#FF0000">Averrhoa lor="#FF0000">bilimbi Linn. which has variety of potential therapeutic. Therefore, this research is needed to determine the quercetin content in lor="#FF0000">Averrhoa lor="#FF0000">bilimbi L.’s extract powder. Validation method performed to ensure that an analytical method meets the criteria and requirements of good method of analysis. Validation method used is the first category with parameter, selectivity, linearity, accuracy, precision. But the content of quercetin in lor="#FF0000">Averrhoa lor="#FF0000">bilimbi L.’s leaf is small that require parameter quantitation limit (LOQ) and detection limit (LOQ). Analysis method was using TLC-Densitometry with Silica gel 60 F254 layers and mixture of toluene : ethyl acetate : formic acid (7:3:1) as mobile phase with a resolution of 1,67 and 1,60. The result shows linear regression y = 8122,4899x + 1181,9943 with coefficient of correlation (r) were 0,9976 and Vxo 4,88%. The accuracy was 90,2 ± 6,52%; coefficient of variation of precision 1,35%; LOD was 0,0064 μg, and LOQ was 0,0215 μg. While the determination of quercetine in extect leaf Averrhoqa lor bilimbi L. gave 0,5841% b/b ± 6,93% and determination quercetin from extract powder of Averrhoa L. leaf showed that average content of quercetine is 6,0538 mg ± 1,62%.
