Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi menjadikan keterampilan literasi informasi sebagai suatu kebutuhan bagi para siswa dalam membangun pengetahuannya dan menciptakan pemahaman pada sebuah informasi yang dijumpainya dengan caranya sendiri, baik informasi cetak maupun informasi non-cetak. Keterampilan literasi informasi dapat membantu para siswa dalam menggunakan informasi secara efisien dan efektif untuk mengerjakan tugas membuat makalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi informasi siswa kelas X, XI, dan XII SMA Negeri 2 Mojokerto dalam mengerjakan tugas membuat makalah, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan standar kompetensi literasi informasi untuk tingkatan sekolah yaitu Information Literacy Standards for Student Learning: Standards and Indicators yang dibuat oleh American Association of School Librarians (AASL). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas X, XI, dan XII SMA Negeri 2 Mojokerto telah memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi yang baik dalam mengerjakan tugas membuat makalah, dengan rata-rata nilai 3,94.
