Abstract

This study were to find and explore physiology and anatomically of external egg of green iguana based on egg mass and morphometric of egg. The study was begun from 1 day of egg ovoposition until the end of incubation at 90 day of egg ovoposition. The define of morphometric is measuring in living creature, so egg shape was measured such as length and width. Egg mass was measured to know egg development time by time. the result showed that both egg mass and morphometric of egg were increased from 1 day of egg ovoposition to 60 day of egg ovoposition. Then, the size and mass decreased after 60 day until 90 day of ovoposition. 24 % from 173 egg succeeded hatching and the rest failed because of fungal infection during incubation.
