Abstract

Hepatitis C is a type of infectious disease caused by presence of RNA virus from the family flaviviridae genus hapacivirus. This disease is spread around the world and is still a global health problem. Hepatitis C has two stages, namely the stage of acute infection and chronic infection. This thesis aims to analyze the equilibriums stability of the mathematical model of hepatitis C transmission and apply optimal control variables in the form of counseling and treatment efforts in a mathematical model of hepatitis C transmission. In the mathematical model hepatitis C, we obtain two equilibriums, namely, the non endemic equilibrium and the endemic equilibrium.
