Abstract

An effective and efficient drug requirement plan is needed to ensure the chemotherapy drug availability to achieve chemotherapy goals. This research aims to analyze the relationship between drug requirement plan with consumption method and morbidity method towards chemotherapy drug availability in Navy Hospital dr. Ramelan. The method used was cross-sectional using secondary data descriptive analysis. The appropriate method for each chemotherapy drug is the efficient method determined by comparing the smallest difference between the calculation of the total drug requirement plan with the consumption and the morbidity method to the number of real chemotherapy drug use in 2018. The research found that there was no amount of drug that was in accordance with the real use of the drug. The efficient method for each drug varies, so it is necessary to plan drug requirement using a combination of consumption and morbidity methods. The research conclusion is that drug requirement plan using consumption method is more suitable for chemotherapy drugs that dose is not specific for one disease and the morbidity method is more suitable for chemotherapy drugs with specific doses for each disease.
