Abstract

Air’s pollution is interpreted as air that contain one or more chemicals in deep concentration enough suffi cient high causes disturbance or danger towards human. Substance’s contributor biggest individual vehicle, Substance that intended sulphur oxide (SOx). At Terminal Joyoboyo Surabaya exist motor vehicle’s transportation that source from gas’s expenditure SO2 and another’s industrial’s existence. From the fi rst research. The aim from this research is to study air’s pollution’s with throat’s irritation’s incident and Eye’s irritation in food”s merchant around Terminal Joyoboyo, Surabaya. This research is observasional form and seen from time research is cross sectional that analyzed descriptively. Variable that canvassed rate SO2, Throat’s irritation’s complaint and eye’s irritation’s complaint. Results showed that food’s merchant around Terminal Joyoboyo Surabaya a large part aged > 38 year, with income’s level in one month a large part < rp 948.000 and Education’s level of the most sample was elementary school undergraduate. Pollution’s source so2 that in the form of cigarette’s smoke and Gas throws away motor vehicle. Disturbance that in the form of eye’s irritation (85%) and Throat’s irritation (88,3%). Self ’s protector’s tool’s application (APD) suggested for food’s merchant around terminal Joyoboyo Surabaya both for experiences or not yet experience complaint’s disturbance that caused by air’s pollution.
