Abstract

The aim of this research was to detect Haemonchus sp protein in blood circulation on sheeps and goats with dot blot test using polyclonal antibody from specific protein (33 kDa) of Haemonchus contortus. The research method was conducted by taking blood samples from 50 of both goats and sheeps in Surabaya slaughther h ouse. The amount of 5 μl sera we re dropped to nitrocelulose membrane paper and added by polyclonal antibody from specific protein of H. contortus which were stained by Western Blue Ready. The positive reaction will be shown by a dot of protein which have more clearly appeared from the negative control. As t he positive control was H. contortus excretion and secretion protein. Based on the research from 50 blood samples of goats and sheeps in slaughther house showed that 27 samples (54%) positive of H. contortus protein
