Abstract

Background: Osteoporosis often occurs in menopausal women who had aged more than 50 years. There is a relationship between of osteoporosis and antegonial depth from panoramic radiographic. Antegonial depth in menopausal women with osteoporosis had differences compared with normal women. However, there are just a few researches about relationship between of osteoporosis and antegonial depth. This research observed antegonial depth in menopausal women with osteoporosis by panoramic radiographic technique. Purpose: To meassured radiographic panoramic image of antegonial depth in menopausal women with osteoporosis. Method : This research took twenty samples of menopausal women aged over 50 years with osteoporosis has been taken panoramic radiographic. Measurement antegonial depth mandibula were performed. Results: Antegonial depth in menopausal women with osteoporosis at right mandible by 2.03 mm and at left mandible by 1.91 mm Conclusion: Average antegonial depth in menopausal women with osteoporosis is 1.98mm
