Abstract

Saat ini tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa perpustakaan sekolah kurang mendapatkan perhatian dan diperlakukan secara tidak layak. Perpustakaan seolaholah dibuat untuk formalitas saja dan ditempatkan di area yang kurang layak seperti toilet atau dekat gudang. Kepala perpustakaan seringkali diambil dari seseorang yang tidak memiliki latar belakang perpustakaan seperti guru. Selain itu juga kurang diminati oleh siswa. Hal tersebut semakin menambah deretan problematika yang ada. Perpustakaan SD Al-Hikmah mampu tampil luar biasa ditengah banyaknya problematika yang terjadi pada perpustakaan sekolah. Perpustakaan SD Al-Hikmah mendapatkan tempat yang istimewa di kalangan civitas akademika SD Al-Hikmah Surabaya. Banyak fenomena unik yang ditemui di perpustakaan sekolah tersebut yang sulit ditemukan di perpustakaan sekolah yang lain. Kedekatan siswa dengan perpustakaan, program unggulan yang dimiliki, serta prestasi. Studi kualitatif ini mencoba untuk mengungkap makna di balik perilaku para siswa mengenai citra perpustakaan sekolah di SD Al-Hikmah Surabaya melalui ekspektasi hingga interaksi siswa yang melibatkan pengetahuan dan pengalamannya. Studi ini menggunakan perspektif konstruksi sosial yang berarti berusaha mengungkap suatu fenomena yang terjadi di perpustakaan SD Al- Hikmah Surabaya. Studi ini menghasilkan empat tipologi, yang pertama ialah Loyal User. Tipologi ini sangat mencintai aktivitas membaca dan perpustakaan, memiliki kesadaran pribadi, suka bereksplorasi, serta akan tetap berkunjung ke perpustakaan tidak peduli sekalipun kondisinya kurang bagus. Kedua ialah Conditional User yakni pengguna perpustakaan yang mau ke perpustakaan dengan syarat tertentu sesuai ekspektasinya, selanjutnya ialah Necessity User yakni pengguna yang berkunjung ke perpustakaan atas dasar kebutuhan seperti koleksi, bermain, atau memulihkan mood. Terakhir adalah Phlegmatis User yang saat berkunjung ke perpustakaan memiliki kecenderungan formalitas atau gugur kewajiban saja, mencari aman dan kurang motivasi. Translation: Currently there is no doubt that the school library received less attention and treated improperly . Libraries as if made for a formality and placed in areas that are less worthy as a toilet or near the warehouse . Head of the library is often taken from a person who does not have a library background as a teacher . It is also less attractive to students . This further adds to the problems existing row . Al-Hikmah Elementary School library is able to perform extraordinary amid the many problems that occur in the school library. Al-Hikmah Elementary School library a prominent place among academics SD Al-Hikmah Surabaya. Many unique phenomenon encountered in the school library which is unheard of in the school library to another. Proximity of students to the library, excellence program, as well as achievements. This qualitative study tries to uncover the meaning behind the behavior of the students about the image in the elementary school library at Al-Hikmah Surabaya through expectations to student interactions involving knowledge and experience. This study uses the social construction perspective, which means trying to uncover a phenomenon that occurs in libraries SD Al-Hikmah Surabaya. This study results four typology , the first is Loyal User. This typology loved reading and library activities very much, has a personal awareness , likes to explore, and will continue to visit the library does not care if the condition is not good. The second is the Conditional User, users who want to libraries with certain conditions in accordance expectations, then is Necessity Users who visit the library base of needs such as collections, play , or restore mood. The last is a Phlegmatic Users who during a visit to the library have a tendency to fall obligation or just formality, like safety zone and less motivation
