Abstract

Man Operatif Method (Vasectomy) is a minor surgical procedure wherein the vasa deferentia of a man are severed, and then tied/sealed in a manner such to prevent sperm from entering the seminal stream (ejaculate). Husband’s knowledge about men operatif method can caused someone support or not support to men operatif method. This research is a kind of correlation research using cross sectional research design. There are 87 peoples as a sample using Cluster Sampling Technique. Dependent variabel of this research is the attitude of husband who supported or not to men operatif method family planning while the independent variable is level of knowledge about men operatife method. The technique of data analysis is Spearman Rho analysis model which analyse with SPSS 14,00 (significant p ≤ 0,05). The result of this research shows the significant correlation between the attitude and knowledge level about men operatife method that showed by p =0,020 (p ≤ 0,05). So that, the writer suggest to increase the knowledge about men operatif method by performing a counseling about men operatif method so that the husband care and support about family planning and joint the progam.
