Abstract

In dentistry, bone reconstruction is an act that is often used to repair bone damage using graft. Bone grafting is expected to widen and elevate alveolar bone that reabsorbed, before dental implantation process. Bovine bone consists of two techniques manufacturing, demineralized bovine bone and deproteinized bovine bone. This study is using deproteinized bovine bone, it is processed by eliminating all the proteins so it is consist of hidroxyapatite fully dense. To apply, deproteinized bovine bone is mixed with blood or saline solution. Blood stimulate osteoblast activity in bone remodeling process. Purpose. To obtain data on the velocity of deproteinized bovine bone adsorption to blood (type O). Materials and Method. Twenty eight samples of , deproteinized bovine bone 150-355μm were divided into two groups. The first fourteen sample were inserted to blood (type O) and the next fourteen sample were inserted to saline solution (NaCl 0,9%) (as control). Result. The highest average velocity of deproteinized bovine bone bone 150-355μm adsorption to blood (type O) is 5,14 mm/s.Conclusion. The highest average velocity of deproteinized bovine bone 150-355μm adsorption to blood (type O) happened at 90th second, it is 5,14 mm/s.
