Abstract

Background. Voice volume which is more than 80 dB can cause some disturbances to the human. The louder one has a high risk and more possibility in causing the disturbances. There are so many complaints from the patients, who have a pulpitis condition, when thye’re listening to the loud voices. The loud voices heard by the pulpitis patients in the noise environment will stimulate lymbic system in the autonomic nerve system which regulate the pain emotional. Purpose. The purpose of this research is for knowing whether noise gives an influence to the painful reversible pulpitis tooth. Methode. This research is done to the patients whose age about 18-45 years old, and have a median caries on the occlusal mandibularry molar which its diagnose is reversible pulpitis, and the patients don’t like hear the rock music which has a high volume. Every patient will be heard a rock music which its volume 85dB for 4 minutes or less if the patient has felt the pain changing. The pain changing felt by the patients measured by the modification Bourbanis Pain Scale, then it will be analysed. Results. Before the research done, all the patients don’t feel pain. After the research done, 5 patients have no changing what they feel along the research. But 25 patients feel painful. Conclusion. Noise gives an influence to the painful reversible pulpitis tooth.
