Abstract
This research is done to study the severity of dental caries according to the habit of drinking tuak at Desa Gedong Ombo Kecamatan Semanding Kabupaten Tuban. There is many factor that influence the development of dental caries, for example is the habit of drinking tuak. The kind of this research is descriptive observational. The sample is 50 men of Desa Gedong Ombo, aged from 20 to 60 years old, who has consumed tuak at least for 1 year. This research studied the relation between the severity of dental caries and the habit of drinking tuak. The conclusion of this research show that the severity of dental caries from Desa Gedong Ombo population is high enough with DMF-T 6.42 , it is mean every single person at Desa Gedong Ombo approximately has 6.42 teeth which is decayed, missed or filled because of caries.
