Abstract

Piper betle linn and Piper crocatum known as sirih hijau and sirih merah, both of them is Piperaceae family’s plant that has been used empirically as antiseptic. Kavikol and karvakrol is a major compounds from both of to Piper betle Linn and Piper crocatum leave that have antifungal effect but from Piper crocatum it found other components are polevenolad and flavonoid. In this experiment used Candida albicans as the sample bactery. To test antifungal effect from Piper betle Linn and Piper crocatum used disk to determine inhibition zone. Zone inhibition calculate with look clear zone that transform around disk using sliding compass. Copyrights:
