Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence used egg shell in the ration of egg production, feed intake and feed conversion. The material used in the study are a total twenty ISA Brown hens of 66 weeks until 70 weeks which were taken care in battery cages and completed by feeders, waters, etc. The evaluated variables were egg production, feed intake and feed conversion. Data were analyzed by ANOVA of Completely Randomized Experimental Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Duncan's Multiple Range Test was used if differences among the treatments were significant. The results showed that the effect of using egg shell to the egg production and feed conversion were not significantly (P>0,05) however feed intake was significantly (P<0,05) affected by the treatments. This result conclude that the egg shell does not significantly affect the egg production and feed conversion, meanwhile it significantly affects the feed intake by increasing 4%, 6% and 8% egg shell powder.
