Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the banana peel and fish meal substitution in feed to the percentage of abdominal fat and meat fat content of male Peking duck. This research used a complete randomized design with four treatments and five replication, this research using Peking ducks aged four weeks old with the average weight of 500-600 grams. Treatment used in this research were P0 (BR2 100%), P1 (feed BR2 95% + banana peel and fish meal 5%), P2 (feed BR2 90% + banana peel and fish meal 10%), P3 (feed BR2 85% + banana peel and fish meal 15%).The results showed that banana peel and fish meal substitution in feed did not significant to abdominal fat percentage, but banana peel and fish meal substitution in feed 5-15% showed significantly different that could lower the meat fat content of Peking duck (p<0.05). Banana peel and fish meal substitution in feed up to 15% to the Peking duck without affecting the growth.
