Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the quality of ram’s sperm diluted in egg yolk citrate and soybeans diluters. The sperm was diluted with the following diluter treatment: P0 using egg yolk citrate diluter, P1 using soybeans diluter I (50g+25ml aquadest), P2 using soybeans diluter II (50g+50ml aquadest), and P3 using soybeans diluter III (50g+75ml aquadest). Data analysis using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) showed that the best motility was found in treatment P2 (61.07±12.84) which was significantly different from P0 (67.43±13.17). While the best viability was found in treatment group P1 (66.00±10.84) is not significantly different with P0 (68.43±9,23). From the result of this study it can be concluded that egg yolk citrate and soybeans diluters have the effect on motility and viability of ram’s sperm.
