Abstract

The purpose of this research was to search royal jelly effect on quantity and ovum maturity levels affected to infertile mice (Mus musculus). This research is a laboratory experimental research. Experimental animal that used as a infertility models are 24 female mice. The models separated in random in to 4 group consist of 1 group as a control and another 3 treatment group with 6 mice for each group. All of the female mice injected by subcutaneous way of 0,025 ml testosterone propionate as long as 14 days. Infertile indication could be known by vagina’s smear, that show diestrus fase on the mice. After that, the control (P0) group feed by aquadest than P1 group feed by royal jelly 1,75mg/20gBW/day dose, P2 by 3,5mg/20gBW/day dose and P3 by 5,25mg/20gBW/day dose that feed per oral everyday for 14 days. The royal jelly effect could rise the ovum maturity levels, it’s seen based on Germinal Vesicle (GV), Germinal Vesicle Break Down (GVBD), Metafase I dan Metafase II. After fixation with aceto acid : etanol (1:3) for 48-72 hour, it is coloured with aceto-orcein 1% and than make it became discolour by aceto-glyserol. This conclusion of this research are, one sample from P0 has 0 ovum, P1 has 5 ovum, P2 has 17 ovum and P3 has 27 ovum and the second conclusion for that reach Metafase II (MII) maturity levels.
