Abstract

Growth Differentiation Factor-9 (GDF-9) was a glycoprotein belonging to the subfamily of the Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGFβ) secreted by the oocyte with a molecular weight of 51 kDa. The purpose of this study was to determine of GDF-9 in oocytes collected from cows and anthral follicle in vitro maturation. This study uses a method based on the specificity immunocytochemistry bond between avidin and biotin molecules contained in the secondary antibody avidin-biotin complex shape. Immunocytochemistry results showed that the presence of antigen could be recognized by the anti-GDF (AP2069a) was marked with dark brown color on the area of oocyte granulosa. Dark brown color was an expression chromogen visualization of DAB on the SA-HRP complex bond - the primary antibody - secondary antibody - antigen. It means that the follicle anthral maturation that there were in vitro GDF-9.
