Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the potential of commercial concentrate feed to feed consumption and solid non fat (SNF) contain in milk. The research was conducted on eight female cross breed Frisian Holstein cows, 3-10 years of age with 400 kg body weight. Four cows were in the second to third calving period and the rest were in the fourth to fifth calving period. The experimental design study was completely randomized design with two factor and two repetition. First factor was feed (P1 and P2) and the second was lactation period (L1 and L2). The Data was analysed using Analysis of Variant (Anava), followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test to determine the differentiation of factors. The result showed that P1L1 had the highest percentage of feed consumption, while the P2L1 was the lowest. SNF contain in milk of P2L1 was the highest percentage, while the P1L2 was lowest.
