Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Graviola (Annona muricata Linn.) leaf extract to the amount and differential of count in mice with early breast cancer patients. This study used 20 mice weighed 20-40 grams with three months of age and divided into five treatment groups. Each DMBA treatment induced a dose of 20 mg /kg bw as 0.2 cc/mouse subcutaneus with three days intervals for 35 days. The (K-) group were given only 0.5 cc oilum olivarum per mouse. Treatment of P1, P2, P3 group were given doses of Graviola leaf extract per oral every day for 21 days with different doses of 10, 30, and 100 mg/kg bw. (K +) group were given 0.5% CMC Na, (K-) group were not give treatment. Blood sampling performed after eighth weeks through intracardial. Leukocyte counts was performed using a Neubauer improved counting room and differential count of leukocytes was performed using a blood smear stained with Wright staining. The results suggested that extracts of Graviola leaf (Annona muricata Linn.) effect on reducing in lymphocyte cell numbers mice breast cancer patients at doses of 100 mg/kg bw, but not reducing the number of eosinophil cells and monocytes, and the total number of leukocytes.
