Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate about reproductive efficiency of beef cattle by artificial insemination in Kabupaten Lamongan period 2010 and 2011. To determine reproductive efficiency by artificial insemination, data concerning the value of reproductive efficiency such as number of inseminated cattle, number of pregnancy, and the number of birth were collected. The raw data were processed to get the conception rate, service per conception, and calving rate. After processed, the obtained data was tabulated. The result showed that conception rate on period 2010 was 74.71%, on period 2011 was 75.12%. Service per conception on 2010 was 1.34, on 2011 was 1.33. Calving rate on 2010 was 72.08%, on 2011 was 84.03%. Based on data and calculation of mean and standart deviation, the value was increasing from 2010 to 2011, especially for calving rate.
