Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of Hibiscus rosa¬sinensis L. flower's infusum treatment by means of oral injection on the decreasing number of spermatozoa's concentration and life sperm percentage of male mice. 30 male mice aged 3 months weighted 25-35 grams are being used in this research. Completely Randomized Design or Fully Randomized Design method is being used with 3 treatment group and 10 frequencies. The analysis of result data is done by Varians Analysis continued with Least Significant Difference (LSD). Those 3 group of treatments are : aquadest with 0,5m1 of dose as the control treatment group (P0), Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. infusum with 20% of concentration as the first treatment group (P1) and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. infusum with 40% of concentration as the second treatment group (P2). The result shows that the Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L. flower's infusum treatment on male mice has a significant effect, and it can be noticed from the decreasing concentration of spermatozoa and the decreasing number of life sperm percentage (p<0,05). The difference of spermatozoa's concentration between first treatment group (P1) and control treatment group is not very significant, while the opposite result happened between the second treatment group (P2) and the control treatment group (P0) and it also happened between the second treatment group (P2) and the first treatment group (P1). A big difference occurs in the percentage of living sperm between the first treatment group (P 1) and the control treatment group (P0), the same thing happened between the second treatment group (P2) and the control treatment group (P0) and between the second treatment group (P2) and the first treatment group (P 1).
