Abstract

The controlling of occupational accidents cannot be done quickly or suddenly, but it requires a well-system to manage the safety risk and occupational health that exist in the company so that the unwanted incidents can be prevented as well. According to article 5 from the Government Regulation of Indonesia Republic No. 50 of 2012, every company in Indonesia is required to apply a Occupational Health and Safety Management System to increase the effectiveness of the safety and occupational health’s protection, prevent and reduce occupational accidents, as well as creating a workplace which are safe, comfortable and efficient to encourage productivity. This study is conducted to evaluate the implementation Occupational Health and Safety Management System based on Government Regulation of Indonesia Republic No. 50 of 2012 and look the impact at the number of occupational accidents at Proyek Puncak Dharmahusada Apartemen PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Surabaya. This type of research is descriptive observational with cross sectional program. In this research has used purposive sampling technique that uses total of the population. Data collection has done by observation of the element’s application of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System at Proyek Puncak Dharmahusada Apartemen, an interview with SHE Manager, 5R executor and safety officer, as well as secondary data about the structure organization of the company, the P2K3 structure of the company and the occupational accidents’ data since October 2014 until April 2015.
