Abstract

Keberhasilan memberikan air susu ibu (ASI) tidak semata-mata berada di tangan ibu. Dukungan orang-orang di sekitar juga penting, mulai dari suami, orang tua, teman, tenaga kesehatan, hingga komunitas. Suami memegang peranan besar terhadap keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Kasus yang sering muncul justru suami menawarkan pemakaian susu formula. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari pengaruh dukungan suami terhadap upaya pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu menyusui. Peneliti menggunakan metode analitik dengan pendekatan “Cross Sectional. Populasinya adalah seluruh ibu menyusui di Desa Plososari Kecamatan Puri Kabupaten Mojokerto yang berjumlah 74 ibu menyusui. Sampel berjumlah 52 ibu menyusui yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Variabel independen adalah dukungan suami dan variabel dependen adalah pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu menyusui. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner atau angket dengan skala likert dan analisa data menggunakan uji statistik chi kuadrat. Hasil uji chi square (χ2) continuity correction = 13,635 dengan df = 1. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bawa chi square (χ2) hitung > dari chi square (χ2) tabel (3,841) yang artinya H0 ditolak sehingga terdapat hubungan dukungan suami terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu menyusui di Desa Plososari Kabupaten Mojokerto. Hasil penelitian didapatkan suami banyak mendukung pada dukungan penghargaan dan emosional dan kurang mendukung dan kurang mendukung pada dukungan informatif dan dukungan instrumental. Dukungan suami sangatlah penting dalam memotivasi istri untuk memberikan ASI eksklusif pada bayinya. Hal tersebut terbukti pada hasil penelitian yang membuktikan hipotesis bahwa terdapat pengaruh dukungan suami dengan motivasi pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu menyusui. Translation: The success of providing breast milk (ASI) is not solely in the hands of the mother. Support of the people around are also important, ranging from the husband, parents, friends, health workers, to the community. Husband's role towards the success of exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of husband's support to the efforts of exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers. Researchers used the analytical method with a "Cross Sectional”. Population is all breastfeeding mothers in the Plososari village Puri district Mojokerto, amounting to 74 breastfeeding mothers. Sample of 52 breastfeeding mothers are taken by simple random sampling technique. Independent variable is the husband support and the dependent variable is the mothers exclusive breastfeeding. The research instrument used a questionnaire with Likert scale and analyzing data using chi square statistical test. The results of chi square test (χ2) continuity correction = 13.635 with df = 1. These results indicate bring chi square (χ2)count > of chi square (χ2)table (3.841) which means H0 rejected so that there is a correlation between husband's support with the efforts of exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers. The results obtained support the husband's many awards and emotional support and less supportive and less supportive of the informative support and instrumental support. Husband's support is very important in motivating breastfeeding mothers to give exclusive breastfeeding in infants. This is evident in the results of research that proves the hypothesis that there is influence of husband's support with the efforts of exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers.
