Abstract

Prevalence of over nutrition which increased continually needs to get a serious attention, because this problem is not only happens to adult, but also happens to kindergarten children. The attention of cause factor is important to consider, otherwise if this problem doesn't solve immedietly, will be continue until teenager or adult phase and also can make some health problems. Based of the introductory study result, prevalence of nutritional problem in children is 15,69 %, this value is higher than normative value (less than 5 %). This research aims to know the factor that influence the over nutritional status in TK Mujahidin 1 Surabaya so it can be need as the consideration for parents, school community and public society to early prevent the incidents of over nutrition until adult phase. This research is an observational research with cross sectional design. The samples are 69 students of TK Mujahidin 1 Surabaya which taken from population in simple random sampling. The primary data are collected by interview with quesionnaire instrument, food recall 2x24 hours, food frequency and daily activity recall. The prevalence of over nutritional in this research is 31,9 % from the multivariat analysis result using Backward Stepwise Logistic Regression, obtained influence variable to overnutritional status which is protein consumption level (p= 0,025) and physical activity (p=0,000). Each increase of protein consumption level, thus the risk of over nutrition increasing to 4,986 and the sample contingency that lack of physical activity will be over nutrition status is 119,756 times compared to ones that have good physical activity.
