Abstract

Leadership is a factor that affects employee creativity, self - leadership on self - management leadership needs of different employees. In a leader, leadership is needed to regulate and control all employees working under him. The soul of leadership needed by employees to lead themselves in order to make the goals and objectives set out in the work can be achieved more quickly. To support employees to become more creative, then the co mpany should consider factors - factors that affect such a work environment that suppo rts the emergence of creativity . Certain aspects of the work environment have proven, either positive or negative influence on the creativity of employees. Environment that can enhance the creativity of employees at work including freedom or autonomy on the job, the view that the important and urgent work so that employees feel challenged and support received from the company and leadership. Many things can be shown that creativity will be higher when employees have the freedom in his work, and this shows that when employees feel challenged by their work, employees are more likely to break the ways of thinking and generate new and more creative responses. Therefore, a working environment that requires creative work should be structured to facilitate creative behavior of employees. This study aims to look at the influence of self - management leadership for the creativity of employees with a work environment as an intervening v ariable. Respondents used in this study are permanent employees of PT. Mitra Andal Sejati Surabaya taken with the technique of sampling with census method. Analysis technique used was path analysis (path analysis) with self - management leadership independen t variable (X), the work environment variables (Z), the creativity of employees and the dependent variable (Y). Results showed that self - management leadership has a significant influence on the creativity of the permanent employees of PT. Mitra Andal Sejat i Surabaya. and there are significant indirect effects of self - management leadership for the environmental work on creativity through regular employee of PT.
