Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari suatu alternatif air baku yang dapat diolah menjadi air minum di kabupaten Gresik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode sampling acak sederhana. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada musim hujan dengan tiga kali pengambilan sampel. Kualitas air danau Ngipik berdasarkan nilai rata rata parameter fisika, kimia, dan biologi adalah suhu 28,6o C; kekeruhan 5,61 NTU; warna 0 TCU; pH 8,15; DO 5,82 mg/L; besi 0,049 mg/L; mangan 0,055 mg/L; klorida 106,48 mg/L; nitrat 6,48 mg/L; total koliform 397 MPN; dan E. coli 20 MPN. Berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 82 Tahun 2001 tentang Pengelolaan Kualitas Air dan Pengendalian Pencemaran Air, sembilan parameter memenuhi persyaratan air baku air minum dan dua parameter tidak memenuhi persyaratan air baku air minum. Parameter yang belum sesuai dengan baku mutu, yaitu kekeruhan, nitrat, dan kandungan oksigen terlarut. Air Danau Ngipik perlu dilakukan pengolahan terlebih dahulu untuk dapat dijadikan sebagai air baku air minum. Alternatif unit pengolahan air yang dapat diterapkan adalah bar screen, aerasi, koagulasi-flokulasi, sedimentasi, filtrasi, dan desinfeksi.
