Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan output dan pengangguran di Indonesia Tahun 1976-2014. Menurut Okun’s law, output dan tingkat pengangguran berubah secara bersama-sama sehingga adanya peningkatan pertumbuhan output akan menurunkan tingkat pengangguran. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah GDP Gap dan tingkat pengangguran. GDP Gap merupakan selisih antara GDP aktual dengan GDP potensial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Hodrick Prescott (HP) filter untuk menghitung GDP Gap. Estimasi koefisien hukum okun menggunakan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil analisis menyimpulkan bahwa besarnya pertumbuhan output periode t dan t-1 secara parsial dan simultan signifikan mempengaruhi tingkat pengangguran.
