Abstract
The aim of this research are to isolate, identification, and determine fragment gene tetO in tetracycline resistant Streptococcus agalactiae. The tetracycline resistant S. agalactiae were isolated from samples of cow's milk sufferer mastitis subclinical in Surabaya and surrounding areas. This research use 173 samples of cow's milk. From 173 samples, 131 samples (75.7 %) showed positive result in CMT. S. agalactiae were found in 3 samples from 131 samples that showed positive result in CMT. Sensitivity test for 3 of samples found that S. agalactiae in 3 samples are resistant to tetracycline. Polymerase Chain Reaction electrophoresis result of tetracycline resistant S. agalactiae from 3 samples showed tetracycline resistant S. agalactiae in 2 samples has tetO primer amplification DNA band with length of 1723 bp.
