Abstract
One of Social support for postpartum was comes from a husband. Support is a assist form who is felt by someone that comes from an interpersonal relationship. Support from the husband is an important factor that can contribute to decreasing fatigue sense experiences and to improve maternal health of a postpartum mother. An effort to increase husband’s support for the mother is by giving health Education. The purpose of this experiment is to analyze the effect of health education: husband’s support to postpartum in Bhayangkara (RSB) Hospital Kupang. Design used in this research was quasy - experiment with "post test only control group design". The population was physiological postpartum in Bhayangkara Hospital Kupang. 20 couple based on inclusion and exclusion criteria as a sample. Independent variable was health education and the dependent variable was husband’s support. Data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney test with significance level p ≤ 0.05. The results showed the effect of health education: husband's support to postpartum. Mann Whitney statistical test results showed that husband’s support increased by p = 0.00 value. These results means the value of p < 0.05, so the research hypothesis was accepted. The results of the study, the researchers concluded that health education can improve the husband’s support for postpartum in Bhayangkara Hospital Kupang. This can be the first step for midwives and nurses to provide further health education related to the husband 's support for postpartum
