Abstract
System of integrating beef cattle production and oil palm plantation can increase the welfare of farmers through increased revenue and efficiency of farming. The aims of this study were to find out: 1) the production management of beef cattle-oil palm plantation integration system in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province, 2) the feasibility of beef cattle-oil palm plantation integration system in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan, 3) the relationship between the production management and the feasibility of beef cattle-oil palm plantation integration system in Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan. The results showed that: 1) the beef cattle-oil palm plantation integration system in Tanah Laut Regency was applied in a good manner for the production management of beef cattle, and in a very good manner for the production management of oil palm plantations; 2) the beef cattle-oil palm plantation integration system was feasible; 3) the relationship between production management and feasibility of beef cattle-oil palm plantation integration system in Tanah Laut Regency was most affected by the management of animal health and the feed management of beef cattle, and by the management of oil palm plantations land.
