Abstract

Based on the book Guide Antenatal Care (ANC) in 2007, one of the obstetric examination performed at the first time visit of pregnant women is the examination of teeth and mouth. In the city of Surabaya, there are as many as 23 health centers which have gained ISO 9001 certificat. At the health center has been certified ISO is to have a work instruction referral of pregnant women to see the dentist on the first visit. When the work instruction is implemented in accordance with the groove is made, then the number of visits of pregnant women whom visit KIA and dental care unit do not differ much. But in fact there is a difference in the number of visits of pregnant women from KIA to dental care unit big enough. Midwives do not refer pregnant women to carry out checks to see the dentist causes the numbers of pregnant women visiting dental care unit decreased. Obedience required midwives to refer pregnant women to dental care unit so that the number of pregnant women visit to dental care unit increases. Based on the theory of Obedience by Milgram, there are some situational factors that can affect a person's Obedience to a rule. Situational factors include the status of the location, personal responsibility, the support of fellow, the legitimacy of the leader, the presence of the leader and the leader status. Based on Kelman's theory, there are three kinds of conformity: compliance, identification and internalization. The aim of this study was to look at the factors that influence obedience midwives to refer pregnant women dental care unit and to know conformity type of midwife at the health center ISO region city of Surabaya. Research instruments using questionnaires, checklists and interviews. Data were analyzed using linear regression. The result of the analysis showed no effect between midwives factors and organizational factors on midwives obedience to refer pregnant women to dental care unit.
