Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Publisitas Negatif Selebriti Terhadap Reputasi Moral Selebriti dan Sikap Terhadap Selebriti dengan Perceived Societal Damage sebagai pemoderasi. Publisitas Negatif Selebriti terbagi menjadi atribusi lokus internal dan atribusi lokus eksternal. Subjek penelitian ini adalah selebriti bernama Saipul Jamil tersangka kasus skandal pedofil dan bagaimana pengaruh skandal tersebut terhadap penilaian masyarakat terhadap reputasi moral dan sikap terhadap Saipul Jamil. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei yang melibatkan sampel sebanyak 180 orang dan menggunakan teknik sampling purposif. Teknik analisis data yang dipakai adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) menggunakan software PLS 2.0. Temuan dari penelitian ini bahwa atribusi lokus internal berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap reputasi moral Saipul Jamil, atribusi lokus eksternal berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap reputasi moral Saipul Jamil, Perceived Societal Damage memoderasi pengaruh atribusi lokus internal terhadap reputasi moral Saipul Jamil, Perceived Societal Damage tidak memoderasi pengaruh atribusi lokus eksternal terhadap reputasi moral Saipul Jamil, gender tidak memoderasi atribusi lokus internal dan atribusi lokus eksternal terhadap reputasi moral Saipul Jamil, reputasi moral Saipul Jamil berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sikap pada Saipul Jamil
