Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) to know effect of ZIS use on productive business performance of Mustahiq; (2) to know effect of ZIS use on Mustahiq income; (3) to know effect of ZIS use on Mustahiq prosperity; (4) to know effect of productive business performance of Mustahiq on Mustahiq income; (5) to know effect of productive business performance of Mustahiq on Mustahiq prosperity; (6) to know effect of Mustahiq income on Mustahiq prosperity; (7) to know the implementation of the norm of Al-Qur’an, Chapter At-Taubah, Verse 60, and Hadist told by Muslim, on the target and the use of ZIS; (8) to know the implementation of the norm of Al-Qur,an, Chapter At-Taubah, Verse 105, and Hadists told by Tabrani and Al-Hakim, on running business and business performance in relation to ZIS; and (9) to know the implementation of the norm of Al-Qur’an, Chapter Al-Qashash, Verse 77,and Hadist told by Imam Muslim, on the income and prosperity in relation to ZIS in West Sumbawa Regency. This study revealed the following results: (1) the use of ZIS had a positive significant influence on productive business performance of Mustahiq; (2) the use of ZIS had a positive significant influence on Mustahiq income; (3) the use of ZIS had a positive significant influence on Mustahiq prosperity; (4) productive business performance of Mustahiq had a positive significant influence on Mustahiq income; (5) productive business performance of Mustahiq had a positive insignificant influence on Mustahiq prosperity; (6) Mustahiq income had a positive significant influence on Mustahiq prosperity; (7) the norm of Al-Qur’an, Chapter At-Taubah, Verse 60, and the hadist told by Muslim, on the target and the use of ZIS, has been implemented by BAZDA Baitu Zakat as the managing body of ZIS; (8) the norm of Al-Qur’an, Chapter At-Taubah, Verse 105, and the hadists told by Tabrani and Al-Hakim, on running business and business performance in relation to ZIS, has been implemented by Mustahiq under supervision of BAZDA Baitu Zakat; (9) the norm of Al-Qur’an, Chapter Al-Qashash, Verse 77, and the hadist told by Imam Muslim, on income and prosperity in relation to ZIS, has been implemented by Mustahiq under supervision of BAZDA Baitu Zakat in West Sumbawa Regency. The model of Zadjuli (2006a) on “The Lines of Poverty and Prosperity According to Islam”, and “The model of Human Development Index (HDI) of UNDP, which has been improved by the addition of religion implementation indicator”, can be implemented to determination the prosperity level of Moslem community in West Sumbawa Regency. While, the management of ZIS by BAZDA Baitu Zakat in West Sumbawa Regency has not given optimal results, in collection of ZIS or distribution and use of ZIS.
