Abstract

Peasants of Soso village who are members of the peasant movement Gapura Merah Putih, do the people reclaiming arable landarea of 74 ha in the village of Soso. The underlying background is due to historical factors which say that it is the ancestral land that has been redistributed wrong in Afdeling Kalikebo in the neighboring village of Slumbung. In addition, there are about 20 ha of land redistribution in Kebon Pageran, but peasants of Gapura Merah Putih felt hurt because they do not get a ration card. Demand 74 ha of land which is currently in a state of private estates HGU PT. Kismohandayani unrealized, so the peasants movement Gapura Merah Putih perform various demands and also bring social issues concerning disobedience plantations cause erosion. Precisely after it HGU, peasants reclaiming around the plantation and build up in most of the area into a "village of Merah Putih". Movement made by peasant Gapura Merah Putih is a model of the new social movements at the same time. Actions and measures taken in a movement more affected by the materialization of self-motivation is economic resources. However, the figure of a leader in the movement is not charismatic. Consensus is used for decision making. The new so-called because movement brings social issues such as erosion, reforestation and justice.
