Abstract

This research aimed is to evaluate the success of autism therapy using ABA. The special aim of this study is to recognize the influence of therapy for children with autism using ABA towards visual ability, verbal and non verbal communication, and interaction with others. It also studies some factors which influenced the succes of autism therapy using ABA. This study is observational analytical research. It used cross-sectional method. It took place in school of children with special needed Malang. It was conducted from Februari to August 2012. The population of this study came from whole children with special needs in the school Malang who receive therapy using ABA method. Data collection obtained from observation to respondent using questioner, measure the success of therapy within 3 months will reviewed by using m-ATEC. The result of the study consists of autism therapy using ABA towards visual ability, verbal and non verbal communication, and interaction with others. Factors which influenced the succes of autism therapy using ABA is the children age when starting therapy using ABA, regularity doing therapy, regularity doing diet gluten and kasein.
