Abstract

Circular Migration, in this subject is a movement of a villager to the city to stay there for a certain time in a purpose of education or having school at the city. In the meaning, these villagers move to the city to find a better quality of education at the town rather than the village it self, so they hope that they will have a same degree with a native town people which is having education at the city. This movement is conduct because the job information and accessibility were easier if that someone was live at town rather at the village. This quantitative study taking sample from about 300 migrant students from few Universities which is lies at Malang city. They were Kanjuruhan University, Wisnuwardhana University, Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University. And it was subjected to them which is came from outer city, outer island, outer province. As a result, the conclusion of these studies is. The pull factor which conducts migration is caused by the popularity of the study department; cheap living and education cost, also the distance between the home stay and the place were they took the study, which is the current University. While the push factor of migration was the absence of good quality university at the village, the job vacant which is not aside to the High School graduation and also because inexistence of friend at the village. Migration process was conduct with the help from previously succeed migrant network. Social integration which is happening at Malang city was accomplished with Social Integration then Adaptation at Malang city then Self Socialization at campus then Cross Cutting Affiliations and ended with Acculturations. Advantages for Malang city were the increment existence of small industries and middle level industries from the services sector. While the disadvantages of these migration, was an increment in the social problem at Malang city.
