Abstract

HBsAg is an antigen that can be used to detect hepatitis B infection. Two devices that can be used to detect HBsAg are ADVIA Centaur XP Siemens and SD BIOLINE HBsAg Standard Diagnostic. Research�s objective was to compare positivity of SD BIOLINE HBsAg to ADVIA Centaur XP. Serum samples first examinated with ADVIA Centaur XP. Then, the same serum, undergone examination again with SD BIOLINE HBsAg. The reactive-nonreactive results then analyzed statistically with McNemartest and Kappa Cohen test. Comparation of ADVIA�s Index Value and SD BIOLINE�s test line color intensity was also done. Firstly, color of test line was scored by 2 people based on color intensity pallete made by author. These results were analyzed statistically with Wilcoxon test and Spearman test. Then average value from both viewer was taken. This average value then be compared to ADVIA�s NI and analyzed with Spearman test. Both devices gave reactive result to 44,4% samples and nonreactive result to 55,6% samples. Reactive-nonreactive result had no significant differences and SD BIOLINE�s result was compatible with ADVIA�s result. Index Values from < 0,10 to 0,99 equal to 0 from SD BIOLINE. Index Values 336,48 to 825,52 vary in sequence from 1,5 to 4,5 of SD BIOLINE�s color intensity average value. While Index Value > 1000 equal to point 9,5. Index Value and test line color intensity comparation showed very strong positive corellation.
