Abstract

PATIENTS PROFILE of VITILIGO in SURGICAL and COSMETIC DERMATOLOGY DIVISION of DERMATO VENEROLOGY DEPARTMENT Dr. SOETOMO STATE/TEACHING HOSPITAL OF AIRLANGGA UNIVERSITY SURABAYA SURABAYA 2014 Introduction: Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder that often encountered and is characterized by unequivocal depigmentation of the degeneration that can occur on any area of the body, which is can’t be cure until now. In Asia, especially Indonesia the figure of Vitiligo is still often found in community. The purpose of this research is wanted to identify the patient’s Profile of Vitiligo In Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology Division of Dermato Venerology Department Dr. Soetomo State/Teaching Hospital of Airlangga University Surabaya 2014. Methods: This study is descriptive retrospective research. The sample in this study is a patient of vitiligo. The sampling technique that use in this study is total sampling throughout the vitiligo patients examined in surgical and cosmetic dermatology division of skin health and gender department Dr. Soetomo State/Teaching Hospital of Airlangga University a Surabaya 2014 (from January through December). Results: The result of the study show that based on the gender distribution is equal obtained i.e. 34 patients female and 34 male patients. Additionally on the base of age, the age range of the patients with vitiligo the youngest patients is 3 months while the oldest was 64 years old. Age range that many affected are ages 11-20 years as much as 22.1%. The result also showed that the originator of genetic lineage, as seen from where determined as much as 8.8% of occurrence is due to the offspring. While the psychological factor here where patients feel trauma. It is then tighten up with the results of anamnesis and physical examinations. The study results also show that the diagnosis of vitiligo patients in Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology Division of Dermato Venerology Department Dr. Soetomo State/Teaching Hospital of Airlangga University Surabaya 2014 performed with the anamnesis and several physical examinations. In anamnesis here it can be seen that as much as 40.2% of patients there is a white spot on the body where as much as 32.9% found in face. Conclusion: That vitiligo could be due to the lineage and its treatment is done with sunblock, topical kortikosterois, and covermark Keywords: Vitiligo, Sunblock, Topical Kortikosterois, And Covermark
