Abstract

In Indonesia there are decline in ages of menarche in adolescent, at the same time need preparations to face menarche . Menarche in elementary school ages caused of psychological responses that are positive and negative. Anxiety is one the negative response an adolescent in the face of menarche affected their physical and psychological. Anxiety is influenced by internal and external factors . This study aimed to analyze the internal and external factors affected the readiness of adolescent in the face of menarche. This research was a cross sectional method that involving 43 respondents who had no experienced menarche. Variables examined (1) ages, (2) knowledge, (3) Physical of activity, (4) parenting (5) influenced of friends, (6) facility of information access. Bivariate analysis used simple logistic regression and multivariate analysis used multiple logistic regression. Respondents anxious in the face of menarche 58,1%. From bivariate analysis with simple logistic regression test the results were: (1) age (p=<0,0001<0,05), (2) knowledge (p=0,021<0,05), (3) physical of activity (p=<0,0001<0,05), (4) parenting (p=<0,001<0,05), (5) influenced of friends (p=0,033<0,05), (6) facility of information access (p=0,268>0,05). The conclusion there are influenced between internal factors (ages, knowledge, physical of activity) and external factors (parenting and influence of friends) with the incidence of anxiety so that can be promotive nor preventive for prevent the anxiety.
