Abstract

Panic breeders due to outbreaks of bird flu disease that occurs at the end of 2003 caused the sudden death of millions of chickens and caused mixed reactions from the public, much less known that the disease could spread bird flu in humans. This condition causes the chicken farmers are reluctant to continue his efforts for fear of disease outbreaks. Technology for society (TfS) is done to address the problems of farmers who are reluctant to raising chickens back from the outbreak of disease. This is due not already know: 1) how sanitary cage (biosecurity) for prevention, 2) various poultry diseases, 3) the type and stage vaccine to prevent bird flu vaccination, 4) how to diagnose the disease through surgical clinical symptoms and death, 5) how to control the disease.TfS’s goal is to improve human resources in raising chickens. TfS method involves the local Animal Husbandry Services, an independent veterinarian, Animal Husbandry laying hens and broiler, private parties and senior students of veterinarian through education and training. The material given is about the cultivation of laying hens.TfS's results are the increase in HR to adopt science and technology in the prevention, treatment and know the bird flu disease for farmers, students, and local governments in the use of technology for production.Conclusion TfS is the involvement of cooperation between UKM, universities and local governments in the use of technology for the prevention of bird flu disease that attacks chickens and humans disturbing. chickens, Technology for society (TfS), vaccine used to prevent infectious disease
