Abstract

This research used of Merino sheep spermatozoa samples was collected in artificial vagina, then given three treatments: NaCl 0,85% (P1), NaCl 0.9% (P2) and NaCl 1% (P3). Research purposes to determine differences in Merino sheep viability of spermatozoa with the addition of various concentrations of NaCl . Examination using resistance testing and viability of spermatozoa . The design of this research used completely randomized design were analyzed by ANOVA test followed BNJ test with a significance level of 5 %. The results of this research showed that the addition to 1 (P3) were significantly different with (P2) and (P1) on the viability of spermatozoa , while in addition to the 6 showed no significant difference between treatments on the viability of spermatozoa.
