Abstract

In Japan, there are lot of superhero series, one of them that called as Kamen Rider Series. The purpose of the study is to find out the representation of villain in Kamen Rider Wizard the 23rd serie of Kamen Rider that have multiple identity, and how does the villain representation affect the story. This multiple identities, makes his role in this superhero serie become blur. Before Kamen Rider Wizard, there is no kind of villain like in this Kamen Rider Serie. Therefore, this is the first Kamen Rider Serie with this kind of villain. This research used Villain Archetype theory by Liam Burke, Narrative and Non- Narrative aspects to analyze the figures. This study use Qualitative research. The writer will only use 51 episodes from total 53 episodes to be analyze. The last two episodes did not really affect the main story. Therefore, episode 52 and 53 is a special promotion episode of next Kamen Rider Serie. Finally, this study shows that the villain in Kamen Rider Wizard categorized as Antithetical. Therefore, the villain fulfilled all of the requirements to be categorized as Antithetical Villain. The uniqueness about Fueki’s interpretation as Antithetical villain is that he also fulfilled four out of five of the requirements in Mirror Villain. Normally, an antithesis villain only fulfilled two out of Five requirements. The result proves that, the villain in Kamen Rider Wizard, which is Fueki, has more complexity than common villain.
