Abstract

The purpose of this research is to detect the molecular weight of Toxocara vitulorum protein which can bind anti-Moniezia expansa sera with Western Blot technique. T. vitulorum was collected from gut of cattle and M. expansa collected from gut of sheep. To homogenize them, take four adult worm of T. vitulorum and 30 cm of M. expansa in mortar and then added 3 mL of PBS, after that centrifuge with 4000 rpm of speed in 15 minutes. Initiation and booster were done to get anti-M. expansa sera from mice. Indirect-ELISA was used to measure the sera antibody levels. Identification of protein profile by discontinuous system of SDS-PAGE technique with Comasie Brilliant Blue staining. Characterization of specific protein by Western blot technique with western blue staining used anti- M. expansa sera and igG anti-mouse. The result of cross reaction between T. vitulorum antigen with anti-M. expansa sera by Western blot technique obtained a protein with the molecular weight 240; 133; 111; 81; 56; 45; 38; 33; 29; 24; 21; 18; dan 13 kDa.
