Abstract
The purpose of this research was to find the evidence of Avian Influenza (H5) in Bats collected from four islands in Indonesia. Ninety nine samples were used in this research, 20 samples from Pontianak, 32 samples from Bintan, 20 from Padang dan 27 samples from Bawean island. The samples were showing positive result for HA test and followed by HI test used antisera of H5. The results of the experiment showed 13 samples had positive result on Avian Influenza through HA testing. They were 8 samples from Pontianak, 3 samples from Bintan, and 2 samples from Bawean Island. Also, 2 samples showed positive on Avian Influenza through HI testing were from Pontianak
