Abstract

AUB is Abnormal Uterus Bleeding, that is menstrual abnormal on woman of reproductive age. And than AUB O is Abnormal Uterus Bleeding cause Ovulatory disfungtion. While in Indonesia, obesity has been popular in the community, Researching determines the relationship between obesity with AUB O. The study was design cross-sectional. The results were taken from medical record at RSU Haji Surabaya, East Java Province (2016). Sampling was done with quota non probability sampling and fulfilling inclusion criteria were 53 samples while matching control sample was done. Research subjects were women who had AUB O and as AUB Non O control (sample size 59:61). Results taken on the mother's age between 15-49 years, have given birth, using hormonal contraceptives ≥ 3 years and or not using hormonal contraceptives. Results were analyzed with Chi-Square with a significant level of 95%. Obtained significance value (p) = 0.037, because p <α, then H0 is rejected, meaning there is a relationship between Obesity with AUB O. The value of C or KK = 0.23, because 0.20 <KK <0.40, meaning the strength of the relationship between Obesity with AUB O low or weak but definite. While the value of RP = 1.452 (95% CI: 1,022 - 2.63) it can be concluded that a person with obesity at risk of PUA O 1,452 x greater than in non-obese These results suggest that obesity is a risk factor in AUB O but is poorly correlated.
