Abstract

Indonesia is popular as an agricultural country because there are many farmlands of rice, corn, sugar and soybeans. Indonesian people work as farmers especially in some regions outside of the city center. As an agricultural country, Indonesia has achieved good results and made an important contribution in Indonesia's economic growth. To support agriculture system, Indonesia’s government build some fertilizer companies. Today, many medium to large scale fertilizer companies begin to invest their English skills to their employees. One of the companies that invests English skill to develop the company is PT. Petrokimia Gresik. In PT. Petrokimia Gresik, there are some departments to support the company. As the writer was assigned to be in production partners management department staff, she could apply her English skill during her internship. In her duties during doing internship program in PT. Petrokimia Gresik, she got some valuable experiences such as how to be discipline during the job, how to managing time, and she also studied how to overcome all of problems that occurred during her internship program. The writer expects that her experiences and lessons she got during internship as a production management staff will be worthwhile for incoming internship students who would like to perform their knowledge in this company. She also expects the next students to work their best for performing internship program since this occasion is really priceless for them and it truly easier them to begin their working impressions in future. There are also few recommendations the writer would like to give for the future interns who intend to have internship at PT. Petrokimia Gresik. PT. Petrokimia Gresik is a best place for an English Diploma student to have an internship in. The writer definitely suggests her juniors in college to intern in it. By interning at this company, the writer could apply the subjects that she had learned in English Diploma Universitas Airlangga. Thus the writer was really grateful she could do her internship and have make a deal with the customers. It was a precious experience that the writer might not obtain in other internship opportunities.
