Abstract
To analyze the effect of intraocular ischemia reperfusion to gluthatione plasma level (GSH) on Wistar rats Methods : An experimental study was conducted. Thirty two Wistar rats were divided into 2 groups, control group and experimental group. Experimental group were induced by transient elevation of intraocular pressure (IOP) 110-130 mmHg for 60 minutes. 32 rats blood sample taken from the heart at day 7 to evaluate plasma level of gluthatione (GSH). The data was analyzed with Mann-Whitney test Result : The mean plasma levels of gluthatione in control group was 17.093 μg/mL, while in experimental group was 9.137 μg/mL. p=0.101 Conclusion : There was no difference gluthatione plasma level between the two groups, but the trend obtained plasma level of glutathione in ischemia reperfusion group is lower than control group
